Teen Mom Program

We have a program specifically tailored to teenage girls that find themselves pregnant.  What to do, where to go for help and advice, and general assistance through there pregnancy.

Teen moms is an outreach serving teen moms and dads and their children. We strive to support, advocate and enable young parents to finish their studies in high school. We collaborate with Help Me Grow and Head Start as well as many other wrap around services to help achieve success for our next generation.

Veteran Outreach – The Northeast Ohio Mission Council of which we are a member of decided to donate to Wade Park VA Hospital for an outreach project. We are collecting – women’s nightgowns (l, XL, 1X), shower shoes; slipper socks; and sugar free & regular bags of hard candy. There is a box in the back of the church to put these items.  Our own council members – Mary Bowins and Jim Santiago have more information about this.  Christ Church is one of 12 churches in our Diocesan Mission area.    We will also make a few fleece “prayer knot” blankets for the vets.  If you knit or crochet and would like to make a 4’ x 5’ throw, it would be greatly appreciated.

The Geneva Food Pantry is in need of canned food items.  Please bring non-perishable items to church each Sunday. Did you know that Carol Cauffield puts a label on each item with a welcome invitation to Christ Church?

Faith in Action  is in need of volunteers in the Geneva area.  The elderly and sick are the major beneficiary of this organization, but they are the least able to give financially or volunteer their time, due to health or age.  If you can help, call Shirley Rice at 964-5506.  Contributions can be sent to: Faith In Action, PO Box 1626; Ashtabula OH  44005.  If you have any questions about this volunteer program please see Lynn Merrick or Zetta Gall.

Animal Protective League  is in need of food for the animals housed at their shelter.
