PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY
Created in 2014, this is a non-denominational group of church members and community members that get together to knit and/or crochet shawls, blankets, scarfs and hats for people and organizations who need them. This is a great time to socialize and have fellowship with people whom have similar interests. Absolutely no prior experience is needed. All are welcome.
The hand-made items created are blessed during a church service by our priest and are then available to pick up or have sent to anyone in need, wherever they are. From friends and family to co-workers and organizations, these items are for anyone that may find peace and comfort in receiving them. Over 400 shawls have been sent out to family and friends and organizations all over the country. Some local organizations that we have teamed up with are: The Cleveland Clinic Seidman Cancer Center, Rae-Ann nursing home, G.O. Community Development Corporation, Beatitude House and Behm's Funeral Home.
